On top of all that though, the game came with a second program entitled “Construction Set.” This one little program changed everything for “Morrowind.” It allowed anyone with a little bit of know how to create even more amazing things to add to the game. When “Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind” was released for PC in 2002, it captured the imagination of many with it lush and beautiful landscapes along with its deep enthralling storyline. Bethesda has a rich history of letting people create and add amazing additional modifications to their games, commonly called “mods.” However, with the introduction of the Skyrim Survival Mode through the Skyrim Creation Club it could mark the end of the road for how people associate mods with Bethesda. When you think about modding games (or modifying with third-party add-ons), one of the first games to come to mind is “Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” from Bethesda Studios.
